I propose a word that combines all (general) possibilities -- male, female, and neutral. Female = "she" Male = "he" Neutral = "it" Thus: Sheit. True, but much like Discworld Dwarves, there is a general assumption that anyone you are talking to is male until you've checked under their layers of clothing (or at least separated them from their flat cap and whippet).
