JmOz
Re: Help with gear thank you for the info...8d6 seem kind of low to anyone else (I know that's what the book says, just seems low to me)

Lord Liaden
Re: Help with gear They'd be better off using M-16's. Or the new Light .50's that are coming out... One of the house rules for my supers campaigns is a further definition of the Real Weapon Limitation, which all the published examples of real-world weaponry are built with, but the "supertech" weapons of agencies like PRIMUS and VIPER are not. Since the description of Real Weapon suggests that such weapons not damage items that they logically shouldn't be able to, no matter what the dice roll is (e.g. a sword against tank armor), I rule that such weapons are less effective against the defenses of "super" class characters. That make supers tougher against mundane weaponry, and provides a rationale for why those agencies arm their troops with blasters and the like. IMO it's well within the spirit of the rule if not its letter, and it requires no change to any published write-ups.
