Ragitsu
Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore I love crab rangoons! They're great, but a hassle to make (especially in the middle of an Oregon December).
Matt the Bruins
Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore My favorite Thai place makes awesome giant-sized crab rangoons, but the entrees are so filling I never feel like ordering them anymore. (When they had a sushi bar it was a great way to get filled up without needing to take out a second mortgage for the sushi.)
CrosshairCollie
Re: Foods for those that just don't care anymore I picked up a five pound, ten ounce lasagna at the store for just 8 dollars; Marie Callender's, too, not a house brand. This should give me leftovers for a week.

They make noodles that are partially baked or some such, so you just need to layer meat, noodles, cheese, and sauce and just bake the whole mess. That way you get full control of what goes in. Last time I made it, I used homemade lactose-free ricotta to make it a bit more friendly to people with dietary restrictions.

Less pleasantly surprised by their effect on my waistline, however.
