History: The Joker's real name is unknown. He was first encountered by Batman going under the name "The Red Hood", a minor league criminal mastermind who attempted to rob a chemical plant and ened up in a vat of strange chemicals. He pulled himself out of a reservoir he discovered his skin was chalk white, his lips ruby red, and his hair green. Driven insane by his appearance, he began a reign of terrifying comedic crime as The Joker.
