Xavier Onassiss
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Working on the next new Terracide adventure for Nuke Con in October. It's going to be a "Dirty Dozen" style scenario with a bunch of high-powered heroes released from a hibernation/detention facility for a potentially suicidal mission in Titan-controlled space. Kennedy Fletcher is a leo-type pilot, formerly of the Celestial Guard, who was held responsible for a hostage-rescue mission gone wrong during the Colonial Reserve Fleet's occupation of Marathon Free Station in 2314. Corona Lovelock is a former OFFICE agent from the Core Colonies, captured by Special Projects Inc. during a mission in the Kruger 60 Cluster and placed in long-term hibernation. (This is a revised version of a previously-posted image.) Ariston Rodos is the former Captain of the ill-fated exploration vessel Leif Ericson. On its final voyage, Rodos' ship rescued a number of colonists at Upsilon Andromeda from a "grey goo" incident, and successfully returned to Terran Space. But his ship was quarantined and deconstructed, with Rodos held responsible for the multi-billion credit write-off. Instead of a hero's welcome, he received a prison sentence. Xavier Onassiss
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine New Terracide characters, continued: Cassiopeia Murphy was 11 years old when the starship on which she was traveling was stolen by Titans; she became one of many humans lost in the Titan war. Cassie grew up among those monstrous, darwinian, acquisitive aliens, and eventually returned to Terran space "more Titan than Human." She's immensely strong, possessive, and prone to violence... yet strangely fascinated with the society she left behind all those years ago. Eventually, however, her mean streak caught up with her and she was placed in hibernation. (This is a revised version of a previously posted image.) Victor (no surname) is virgo-type tasked with "controlling" Cassie by her former Titan keeper, "Scrap-Eater". This eventually backfired when Cassie's attachment to him prompted her to fight Scrap-Eater for control of Victor, after which Victor worked for Cassie, and Scrap-Eater was known as "Stumpy." When Cassie was captured and imprisoned, Victor defended her and got himself imprisoned as well. Thalia is Cassie's other "acquisition" from Scrap-Eater; an AI of Cytherian manufacture intended for interfacing with humanity. The Titan originally assigned Thalia as an interpreter for Cassie, primarily because Thalia is nearly indestructible. Eventually Cassie took possession of her interpreter, and reprogrammed the AI for more useful purposes. When Cassie was apprehended, the authorities learned the hard way that Thalia's programming for non-violence had been over-ridden.... Xavier Onassiss
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine nton got put in jail for RESCUING POIPLE? Not exactly. He brought a starship into Terran Space which might have been carrying "grey goo", replicating nano-machines. Even if he was successful in getting rid of the stuff, the fear and paranoia which attaches to it wouldn't go away.
