And here's the latest addition to the forces of Lord Dark Matter, courtesy of

Techamachus -- the Exterminatron:

Standing well over six feet tall, this AI-guided robotic killing machine is

equipped with a number of weapons systems which make its designed

function -- assassination -- all too easy to accomplish. Its primary long-

range weapon is its chest-mounted disintegrator beam; capable of acc-

urately striking a target from up to 50 yards away, the disintegrator

beam works by neutralizing the forces which hold matter together.

Another weapon which is also mounted in the chest area are the twin

gas projectors, which can rapidly fill a large, basketball court-sized

area with a deadly neurotoxic gas capable of killing its victims within

seconds of the exposure.

The Exterminatron is also armed with a pair of palm-mounted plasma

projectors, which -- at maximum power -- can penetrate up to three

feet of steel-reinforced concrete; more than sufficient to kill any un-

protected person.

The spikes on its shoulders, while they appear to be strictly ornamental,

are anything but. In fact, they happen to be the tips of four independently-

controllable 'tentacles', which the Exterminatron can use to either impale

its victim's vital organs or to pin him or her to a convenient surface while

it prepares to use one of its other weapons to carry out the kill.

Another weapon, which is also mounted on its shoulders, are the twin

mini-missile launchers. These units hold four mini-missiles apiece, and

the missiles themselves are capable of pursuing a specific target (think

of them as being like the pistol-fired seeker missiles in the movie Run-

away). Unlike most of the Exterminatron's other weapons, it is possible

for a targeted person to avoid being hit by one of these missiles, but it

does require a great deal of good luck (and plenty of cover to hide be-

hind).

The Exterminatron is also equipped with an extensive sensor suite, which

is capable of scanning the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Those parts

of the EM spectrum which can be detected visually are located in its visor,

while the remainder are housed in the 'crest' atop its head. In addition,

the Exterminatron is also equipped with highly-sensitive auditory and ol-

factory sensors, giving it the ability to not only hear and smell, but also

to analyze those sources of sensory input. Its sensor suite can also detect

the changes in a local planetary magnetic field caused by metal objects --

i.e., minefields -- thereby allowing the Exterminatron to avoid damage

that could seriously damage or destroy it.

Another of the devices which has been incorporated into the Exterminatron's

body is a sound-suppression system, which enables it to move without making

any sound at all. This capability allows it to approach its victim without being

detected.

While the Exterminatron is capable of speech, it carries out its missions in

silence; only on rare occasions will it speak to a victim (or those not being

targeted).

It is also capable of flight, due to its built-in hybrid anti-grav/thruster pack.

And here are the last of today's pics, which were inspired by the copy of

GURPS Planet Krishna that I got last week:

After reading the book, I decided to see how close I could come to get-

ing the general appearance of the Krishnans using F2011, based on the

descriptions of their appearance in the book.

Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine

Here's a critter that's suitable for either Champions, Horror Hero, Pulp Hero,

or Star Hero campaigns -- the Hellvine:

A horrifying hybrid of animal and plant, the Hellvine is carnivorous, and feeds

on any living creature which it's able to lure within reach of its spiked tentacle-

like vines. It accomplishes this by emitting a powerful pheromone into the air

once it's detected a living creature (the Hellvine is extremely sensitive to vi-

brations such as the footsteps of either animals or humans). This pheromone

causes those affected by it to follow its scent, regardless of whatever the vic-

tim had originally intended to do.

Once the victim is within about 20 feet from the Hellvine, it lashes out with its

tentacles, entrapping him or it in an inescapable grip. Seconds after seizing its

prey, the Hellvine injects it with a searing acid, which it uses to predigest the

unfortunate creature or human. The thorns which line the tentacles are the

means by which the acid is introduced into the victim's body; like the fangs of

a venomous snake, they're hollow. After a few minutes -- once the digestive

acid has killed its prey -- the Hellvine stuffs it into its maw, where it can feed

on its prey at its leisure.

The Hellvine stands between 15 and 20 feet in height, and is semi-intelligent.

It also has a pair of eyes which extend out from the body on very thick eye-

stalks.
