Christopher
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine https://sites.google.com/site/heroicsystems/akon-cypheson-40k/avengers-4ok Very intersting approach on "Terras Mightiest Heroes" But I think they would need at least one Ogrin (in Green Uniform) to be complete. I think there was at least one HTH-Heavy space marien corps with Green Armor out there, but the name eludes me...

Christopher
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine The Salamanders have green armour' date=' but I'm not sure if they're HtH heavy.[/quote'] Right, that are the ones. But they are more "Hammer & Fire": "The hammer and the fire are both important symbols of the Cult, and the Chapter makes widespread use of Flamers, Meltaguns, and Thunder Hammers in their armoury. As one can imagine, this preference for Flamers and Meltas leads to a strong affinity among the Salamanders for close-range shooting when in combat." Major Tom 2009
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Here's a new version of one of Pariah's characters that's appeared in one form or another on this thread in the past -- Morningstar: This is my take on what she might look like if she were to make use of some slightly higher tech for protection from attacks. The armor, of course, pro- vides protection from conventional attacks (bullets, knives, etc.), but it also incorporates several layers of a refraction coating, which causes laser-based attacks to interfere destructively with themselves, thereby neutralizing their effectiveness. In addition, the left gauntlet of the armor has a built-in force shield emitter, which when active projects a 3-foot diameter field of force that she can use as additional protection. The shield is activated by mental command, by means of a neural interface which is built into the headpiece of her armor. The shield also has a property which is similar to that of the shield of Captain America, in that it is able to negate a considerable amount of kinetic force directed against it (in game terms, enough Knockback Resist- ance to keep her from being pushed very far when hit by an attack). I'm asking because her color scheme in general is somewhat bizzare, even if she is a character in a Fantasy Hero campaign. Major Tom 2009
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine The Gunsen Corporation doesn't rely entirely upon its force of zombie ninjas or Lady Nightshade's charms when it needs to deal with particularly trouble- some investigators -- especially when said investigators prove to be more than capable of dealing with such threats. So, in order to deal with "problems" of that nature, the corporation's scientists created a nightmarish fusion of cybernetic technology and undead killing machine -- the Adversary: Standing well over seven feet tall, the Adversary was created using the same process which was used to create Gunsen's zombie ninjas, but which has been further enhanced with the addition of cybernetic technology. To begin with, its entire skeleton has been reinforced by inlays of titanium and depleted uranium, rendering its bones virtually un- breakable -- either by blunt force or ballistic impact. This was necessary because of its primary weapons -- a pair of long-bladed claws which have replaced its hands. These claws are composed of the same titanium-depleted uranium alloy as the skeletal inlays, and have been laser-honed to incredible sharpness. Its claws aren't the only things which it can use as weapons; its toenails have also been replaced with razor-sharp titanium-depleted uranium claws, which can retract into the toes when not in use. Because of its martial arts training, the Adversary is able to use its toe-claws just as effectively in a fight as its claw-hands; more than one unwary soul has found himself being suddenly disembowled by a sweeping kick to his vitals. In add- ition, its jaws have been replaced with a hydraulically-powered prosthetic, which are equipped with titanium-depleted uranium alloy fangs. The power of these jaws is such that the bone in any limb that the Adversary sinks its "teeth" into will be crushed within seconds of the bite. The mouth also conceals a surprise weapon -- a set of artificial glands which enable it to exhale a jet of caustic and highly corrosive vapor at its victim. Its muscles have also been altered to give it superior strength (30 STR in Hero terms), and its reflexes have been augmented by means of cybernetic technology, giving it a far greater reaction speed than a normal human being (25 DEX in Hero terms). These modifications by themselves make the Adversary an absolute terror in close-quarters combat; unfortunately for those who have the misfortune to encounter it, the Adversary was designed as an unstoppable assassin, so it rarely -- if ever -- engages in the kind of fighting that most PC groups tend to get into in the course of an adventure. The Gunsen scientists didn't just provide the Adversary with physical enhancements alone; they also gave it enhanced senses as well. Its eyes have been replaced with optical sensors which are capable of scanning the entire electromagnetic spectrum, giving it the ability to see in various spectra of light as needed -- infrared, ultraviolet, etc. Acoustic sensors that are sensitive enough to hear a human heartbeat at 100 yards have replaced its original ears, and olfactory sensors give it the ability to smell its prey at a quarter of that range. The Adversary also possesses a technological sense that has no human equivalent -- a MAD (Magnetic Anomaly Detection) sensor. This enables it to detect hidden metal objects -- i.e., minefields -- that could pose a threat to its survival. The Gunsen scientists gave the Adversary two additional weapons; one that is more of a psychological weapon than anything else -- an inhuman, terrifying face -- and a sub- sonic projector which is capable of stimulating the fear centers of the human mind. All of these factors have combined to create an enemy which even the most fearless of men would hesitate to face in battle -- and the frightening thing is that, even if some- one does manage to kill the Adversary, the corporation has the means to create another. Pariah
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Jeopardy (A/T-style pic originally done by Pariah). I've always imagined her primarily in red (a color I don't use for my own characters very often, for some reason), but the light blue is a nice touch. And here are the last of Pariah's characters (for now) -- the Pariah Family: From left to right, we have Pariah Girl, Kid Pariah, and finally Lady Pariah.
