Major Tom 2009
Re: A DC Animated-style HeroMachine Yet another superhero from Confederate World, the power-armored hero known as Merrimac: The original Merrimac armor was a modified deep-sea mining suit, and the current version (shown above) has likewise been equipped to function in underwater environments as well as on the surface. The armor is also arm- ed with improved versions of the original weapons suite of the first Merri- mac armor -- a laser designator-equipped plasma-bolt launcher on the right shoulder, a five-shot guided missile launcher on the left shoulder, a laser projector in the chestplate, and electro-bolt projectors in the gauntlets. The suit's normal armor protection is strong enough to resist heavy-caliber machine gun fire; when augmented by the field produced by its built-in defense-shield generator, it becomes strong enough to resist anti-armor weapons like the Carl Gustav or TOW missile system. The armor also enhan- ces the strength of its wearer, enabling him to lift just over 50 tons. In add- ition, the Merrimac armor also houses a minaturized, yet very sophisticated communications and sensor suite. Major Tom 2009

For comparison, here's a character from my old Champions campaign, a vigilante called Night Shift. I described him "as if El Zorro were dragged, kicking and screaming, into Hot Topic for a total wardrobe overhaul."
