Christopher R Taylor
Yo dawg I heard you like guns so I came up with a way to attach guns to your guns I don't get that at all. How is that more convenient or useful than just wearing a holster? Adding all that weight to the front of your gun for what reason, exactly? gewing
Not a gun per se but it has a gun. 12 kilogram remote ground drone with a Glock 26. http://www.defensenews.com/story/defense/international/mideast-africa/2016/05/08/introducing-israeli-12-kilo-killer-robot/83970684/
Zeropoint
Christopher Taylor, I think that "tacticool" stopped being about "useful" some time ago.

Old Man
Assuming you filled it with alternating calibers (one .460 S&W Magnum, one .45 Long Colt, one .454 Casull, one .460 S&W Magnum, and one .45 Long Colt), would the firearm likely suffer a malfunction as it cycled through the various rounds? The revolver wouldn't, but the operator might.
Christopher R Taylor
Saves you having to waste time with all that drawing and aiming silliness. But... you're already aiming a rifle at the target...
Pattern Ghost
The Zip gun has to be one of the sillier products out there. The name's bad enough. The you have the ergos. Then, to top it off, one of its features is the ability to attach it to a picatinny rail. Super useful to have a .22LR as back up to your rifle... pinecone
I dunno, if you're a professional Monster Hunter, you could have the expensive Platnium bullets, blessed by a priest in there...just in case...? Hyper-Man
Pattern Ghost
Have monster hunters upgraded to platinum these days? Talk about inflation, it used to be silver. Now, platinum has a higher melting point than silver (3,215°F vs 1,763°F), and silver's already a royal pain to mold into bullets due to this. Especially if you're a DIY type. What I'd do is load shotgun shells with the metal, and carry them in a side saddle on a pump shotgun. No need to try to mold the metal, just let fly blunderbuss style at close range with the non-aerodynamic projectiles. gewing
Platinum would probably be really hard on rifling, and unless you want a catalytic converter, I don't see a point... silver is expensive enough...

Now you see...that's why Monster hunting should be left to the pros platinium bypasses turtle chi,and a sabot protects the barrel... Blessed by a priest takes down those hopping Vamps real nice... Cancer
Platinum also has a higher density even than depleted uranium, twice that of lead, so the slug mass will be quite high. EDIT: Well, if it's a solid slug the same volume as another. Put a sabot on it and obviously that need not be true.

Christopher R Taylor
Well a lot of stuff is denser than depleted uranium, but it gets ridiculously expensive.

Pattern Ghost
If you had a monster that was basically Clay Face, and immune to precious metals, he could clean up by imitating vampires, werewolves, etc.

Rails
Maybe I'd actually be able to hit something with that! No, probably not--since I can dump 5 rounds out of my pump at a single clay and not hit it before it hits the ground.

Cancer
My memory is that there was asserted to be fully automatic shotgun weapons on the death strips between East & West Germany in the 1960s and 1970s, which probably would have looked like that, albeit in heavy fixed mounts. Pattern Ghost
My first week in Berlin, a guy was shot swimming the Elbe. Several others were killed trying to cross the kill zone to get over the wall while I was there. So, 60s-early 90s.
