Dr Archeville
Re: Genre-crossover nightmares My local newspapers Movie Mash-Up, Halloween 2009 edition: Broadway Danny Rosemary's Baby (Broadway Danny Rose/Rosemary's Baby) In what may be his zaniest comedy, Woody Allen plays a hapless talent agent who gives birth to Satan's spawn. Let the Right One In The Mouth of Madness (Let the Right One In/In the Mouth of Madness) A sad Swedish vampire - 12 or 200 years old, depending on how you want to count - anchors John Carpenter's 1994 Lovecraftian homage. Exorcister Act (Exorcist/Sister Act) Whoopi Goldberg projectile vomits. Bad habit. The Corpse Princess Bride (Corpse Bride/The Princess Bride) Casting Robin Wright as a reanimated corpse? Inconceivable! ZombieLand of the Lost in Translation (Zombieland/Land of the Lost/Lost in Translation) The subtle and delicate indie charmer features Woody Harrelson fighting zombies, sleestaks, Scarlet Johansson and Bill Murray. bigbywolfe
Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Those would stand a good chance of being improvements. Liefeld's brand of "art" has as little chance of ever "improving" something as I have of becoming president. Besides his complete lack of perspective, anatomical knowledge, and his inability to draw feet, there’s also the fact that he has blatantly copied the work of former artists. His continued employment in the comic business is almost as sad as Marvel’s yearly company-wide crossover events…
