And he likely gains an AC bonus from his prestige class. (Points at self) GEEEEEEEEEEK!
Kristopher
Re: Order of the Stick I'd like to think that such a thing exists only in Rich's humor, but leave it to AD&D to have a class that gets a defense bonus from Charisma. There is probably even a Core Class lurking out there in a splatbook that allows a CHA AC Bonus.

IIRC, Elan's prestige class actually gets his CHA bonus to hit and damage, so long as he employs a pun with each strike.

Lucius
Re: Order of the Stick In this specific context, what does the word "warlock" mean? Lucius Alexander The palindromedary would say it means "perjurer" or "forsworn" but that's probably not what is meant here.

Lucius Alexander The palindromedary would say it means "perjurer" or "forsworn" but that's probably not what is meant here. I'm just guessing, but I'm assuming from context that each of the 'names' were a more specialist class. I picture it's kind of the way we all looked down on Illusionists in the 1st Edition AD&D. In any case, it's nothing more than name calling based (most likely) off the utility of a prestige class.

Lucius Alexander The palindromedary would say it means "perjurer" or "forsworn" but that's probably not what is meant here. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but... From what I've heard second hand, warlocks were/are a class/subclass that are known for pretty much blasting as often as they like. The source of their power is not themselves, but rather making a pact with some other power... often infernal or demonic. Actual Arcane Knowlege is NOT required. Given that, one can see why it would strike a nerve in V who despite having been a wizard did something very similar to that with the Soul Splice
