archermoo
Re: Order of the Stick What the heck does the disembodied talking mouth have to do with the oracle? It is the Magic Mouth that was outside of the Oracle's valley when they first went there.

Doug Limmer
Re: Order of the Stick Was that supposed to be the old "one always tells the truth and the other always lies" riddle? It really is worth your while to re-read the last trip to the Oracle (strips 321 to 332, and maybe a few before and after). Not only does it answer your question, but it's pretty funny, too.
teh bunneh
Re: Order of the Stick Back in the older strips, the Oracle foretold ... ...that Belkar would one day kill either Miko, Miko's horse, Roy, Varsuvius, or the Oracle (but he didn't specify which). Miko's already dead, and it's pretty unlikely that Belkar is going to kill Roy or V... anyone want to bet that the Oracle is gonna be on the chopping block by the end of this story arc? Actually, since this is a prophecy, you have to be careful to get the wording right ... Belkar asked if he would "cause the death" of one of the five. The majority (but not at all universal) consensus on the OotS message boards seems to be that, by giving his ring of jumping to Roy, he "caused the death" of Roy. I don't think the Oracle will end up dead, but of course the potential is there. My first spoiler block!

Lawnmower Boy
Re: Order of the Stick As smarter people than me are saying, if an oracle with buckets of cash and the favour of a goddess can't have a cleric on hand to do resurrections, who can? The question then being, what happens to Roy?
Hermit
Re: Order of the Stick Belkar is funny in a dark humor way, but he's also become the proverbial mad dog that needs to be put down.. Hermit
Re: Order of the Stick Well' date=' when and how do halfings celebrate their birthdays anyways?[/quote'] Good reminder. Part of me is hoping that Roy gets resurrected, because he was a ghost and observed things, remembers it all too clearly, and then is the one to take Belkar out.
