Re: Ben 10

Updated Ben and Fourarms. I'm trying to keep the alien forms under 350 points, just so I have a little extra wiglle room for minor updats. At the rate ben learns new skills though, they will probably all be atleast 360 pts within the next couple of episodes.

Anyhow, here's Heatblast and Diamondhead :)

Appearance: Heatblast is a tall humanoid with skin that looks like magma. He has two fingers and a thumb on each hand and two toes on each foot. His hair is actully made of fire and his body is laced with fissures that glow as if they were molten rock. In fact, his hands, mouth, eyes and feet appear to be made of this molten rock, though they are obviously quite solid. While he has no visible ears or nose, he can obviously hear just fine. The Omnitrix projects from the center of his chest.

Re: Ben 10

Bump, just to see if Ben has any more to share with us.

Pretty please? :D

Actully, I've got most of the other forms done now, but they are on my other PC.

I'll try to post something when I get home.

Grey Matter needs the most work at the moment, since he really hasn't done much of anything in the series yet. And I'm not entierly happy with Upgrade yet either.

Otherwise, any requests?

Re: Ben 10

I don't have a TV, so I've only been able to catch one episode and not all of that - at work, oddly enough. It was the one where they're at some tourist spot with a giant rubber band ball. I noticed Ben didn't worry about changing in front of the townsfolk (including the mayor), and none of them seemed to worry much about saying anything in front of outsiders. Is this common in the series? And if so, does Ben really have a secret ID?

Re: Ben 10

It varies slightly from show to show really. Sometimes they are a lot more careful with it then other times.

On several occasions Gwen and Grandpa have almost sliped up and called one of the alien forms Ben, only to quickly correct themselves when they realized onlookers were present.

Ben often dodges out of view before activating the Omnitrix.

He doesn't go around telling everyone he meets that he has super powers, thogh he has revealed it on a few occasions, like in the episode "Kevin 11". That turned out to be a very bad thing (I'm giving him another Hunted ;) ).

Ben also often laments that he doesn't get to take credit for anything he does or bask in the glory of being a hero.

Overall, I'd say he definitly is trying to maintain a secret ID, but he's blown it a few times.

Oh, and you can apparently catch the latest episodes online at Ben 10 Cartoon Network page. I've never actully watched them online, so I don't honestly know if they are full episodes or not, but the website leads me to believe they are. At present, Tourist Trap is online. That would, unfortunatly, be the one you have already seen :(

He has four spindly green legs and a pair of arms that end in small black pincer like hands. His hands have two fingers and a thumb. His thorax is white with black stripes, seemingly patterned after Ben’s favorite t-shirt. Stinkfly has a black wasp-like stinger and a pair of translucent green wings. Stinkfly has four yellow eyes projecting from green eyestalks attached to the side of his black skull. While he has no nose or ears, he can definitly hear and can apparently smell, as he is well aware of his noxious odor. The Omnitrix sits squarely in the center of his face.

Re: Ben 10

Really fun show!

Does anyone else think that it seems Grandpa Max knows an awful lot more than he's letting on? It seemed pretty clear to me when he recognized Heatblast as an alien instantly (not a monster, and he corrected his granddaughter when she called him one). There've been lots of other little tidbits along the same lines, just not as overt. Any theories?

I really like this show too. It's clever and illustrates a great example of a Metamorph/Multiform hero. Hmm, wonder what Ben will do when he's grown up if he still has the Omnitrix?

And I also wonder about Grandpa Max. Yes, he was in the Army, but his skills and experiences seem to be much broader than the usual tour of duty would justify.

Re: Ben 10

Ben has never demonstrated the ability to trun back to normal on is own. We don't know at this point if he can't or just hasn't tried yet, but he always stays in hero mode until the Omnitrix runs out of juice. Once it powers down, he can't change forms again until it recharges.

The amount of time he can stay in hero mode varies a bit from show to show. Seems to be around 5 minutes on average, but sometimes it's a shorter or longer duration.

Re: Ben 10

I represent the Omnitrx's "mind of it's own" via the accidental change disadvantage. I might need to spell the mechanics of how I'm using that particular disadvantage out a bit better in the text, however. I'll try to write that in in the next update.

As for another alien with an Omnitrix, I'm not sure what you're talking about there. According to my sources, only 9 episodes have aired so far in the US and I've seen all of them. In that time, the only friendly alien Ben has met is Hoverboard, a armored warrior who belongs to the same alien species as Ben's Diamondhead form. We've also been told that the Omnitrix is a one of a kind prototype.

So, either you have seen an episode I have not or one of us is mistaken...

Hello! This is my first post on this site.

I am not a gamer per se :P but I like Ben 10 and have been following this particular thread. I don't know why I find it fascinating, but it is! So, had to voice some appreciation. Thank you!

Can't wait to see what Bloodstone does with Ghostfreak's Beetlejuice-style tentacle display.

Re: Ben 10

Welcome to the HERO forums :)

As for Ghostfreak's recent trick, I've got that written up as:

Freakout: +30 PRE (30 Active Points); Only to Make Fear Based Presence Attacks (-1), Gestures (Requires both hands; -1/2)

Note: Ghostfreak pulls open his chest and displays the horrors that lurk within. We're not quite sure what those horrors are yet, but they include multiple black and white striped tentacles. It was sufficiently ghastly to scare an evil soul-sucking clown into submission.

Combined with Ghostfreaks normal presence of 30, that's a 12d6 Presence attack, which should be quite effective against most foes.

I found the skin-opening trick more disturbing than the tentacles (they could always have shot out of his mouth, as a horror cliche). He is like something gross wrapped up in Glad Press'n Seal. If that's original, I'm impressed.

Grandpa Max fought pretty hard in the episodes "Lucky Girl" and the one available online, "A Small Matter." He is one tough bugger. He subdues a dog with a tap to its noggin - canine acupressure? Maybe his stats should go up ;)

Yeah, I've been holding off on Max until "Secrets" airs, as that one should reveal some of his history. The trick with the dog kinda reminded me of Crocodile Dundee. For now, I got it on his sheet as a Nerve Strike martial arts maneuver.

Gwen's shaping up to be a pretty decent character too, what with her brains, computer savy and kung fu skills.

Where his nose would be, he instead has a long black stripe. This strip runs up his skull and ends in a slight point at the back of his head. Under each eye he has a pair of ridges/slits that may function as his ears, since he seems to have a normal human range of hearing. He wares a predominantly white body sock that has a single black stripe running down the center. It also legs have black, toeless socks and the sleves have black cuffs that end at his forearms. His hands have three long fingers and an opposable thumb, while his feet have only three long toes. His arms and legs are long and thin, which combined with his oversized cranium makes him look rather gangly. The Omnitrix projects from his back.

Note: So far, Grey Matter is the least expensive of the alien forms. I'll probably add in about 50 pts worth of assorted Science and Knowledge skills to make him a little more super heroic.

Re: Ben 10

Yeah, upgrade takes something into itself and makes it better, like when he took over a ball mashine and turned it into a robot that shoot balls at the bad guys! I hope it stays on but I seriously doubt they will link it to other shows like Justice league or teen titans.
