Pariah
How many moles of hydrogen gas are there in a cubic yottameter, do you suppose? Derail: If I've done the math correctly, the answer is on the order of 1053 mol H2/Ym3. Now, what were we talking about, again?

Or at average density over intergalactic space, which is the only scale on which use of yottameters makes any sense?
Pariah
At STP? Or at average density over intergalactic space, which is the only scale on which use of yottameters makes any sense? I did a Q&D Google search for 'atomic density of space' and got a few results that centered around 1 atom per cubic centimeter. Assuming that ~75% of atoms in the universe are hydrogen (a number I got from the textbook my classes are using), from there's it's a pretty simple dimensional analysis conversion. I'm not sure my search results took into account stars and galaxies rather than just 'space'--probably not, I would suspect. So my number is almost certainly several (or many) orders of magnitude too low. Clear enough? Cancer
