ghost-angel
Re: How would you build a digital camera? My Moon Men report that the Moon is made of ghouda. You'll all be happy to know that my plan to hollow out the moon, fill it with kerosene and propel it into the sun is coming along smoothly. scarlett
Re: How would you build a digital camera? Add in concentration, while you're taking photos. A linked Images for the flash. And a linked Flash for that matter. Limitation (Cant be used under water). Requires Skill Roll. etc. etc. Can no-one else seriously see how pointless this is?! Says the man who writes argumentative threads proposing that the moon is made of cheese... Perhaps pointless. But it's a heckuva lot of silly fun. Ultimately, though this is an issue that the GM decides... If you want to give your players gear for "free" (which is what you do in Heroic Campaigns, if I understand correctly) you can! If you're concerned that certain gear could have a major impact on the campaign and want to make them pay points, you can! That is the beauty of the HERO system (IMNSHO). ahduval
Re: How would you build a digital camera? Personally, I am of the simpler the better. Sure, I could assign every common item HERO abilities. But for those items that most have access to and don't affect much game wise I would probably use the stats one can find in a catalog/magazine and quickly estimate body/defense (in case the PC asks me how much additional damage one can do with one or how much damage it could absorb) And of course in a Super's campaign, I would expect that any normal camera would be comparably fragile. Not to mention the fun one could have if a super's camera is stolen/misplaced.
