death tribble Posted May 25, 2013 Report Share Posted May 25, 2013 Went to the London MCN expo. The queue was mega as it took over an hour to get in. Saw and photographed Tom Baker. Got autographs of Andrew Lee Potts and Hannah Spearritt and phtographed them. Also photographed various Cosplayers including an Alien. There was not one but two Slendermen. The way the first went after someone showed why they were feared. The guy was quite tall. And when this girl turned around and saw him she freaked and ran off. death tribble Posted June 26, 2013 Report Share Posted June 26, 2013 My mother was up and I took her around various things. Had a free dinner at a restaurant called Odette's. (I won a voucher for it). Drinks were extra. Saw Sharleen Spiteri from Texas having dinner there as well. Went to see the Mousetrap. Went to Taste of London and got completely stuffed. Went to Portabello market and found that most of it was not running on a Sunday. Went for Breakfast at the Riverside cafe north of Oxford Street which was nice. Gave her a few books that I had bought cheaply in Sainsburys and she got through one and is now working on another. Got the first two Preacher trades and read them. Received The Fall (it's a Gillian Anderson TV thing) from Amazon and today got three Cthulhu scenario books. Also new Astro City. Wonderful. Soon I will be able to bring them along and resume some of my aquatic hobbies, such as snorkeling, surfing, and piracy. Also the recent forum outage was not due to catastrophic system failure, but Simon putting in version 5.0.3. Doesn't quite fix the last-unread button, but almost. No, the recent forum outage was most certainly due to catastrophic system failure...to the tune of not just one hard drive failing (which would be survivable), but two hard drives failing. Most of the DS9 cast where there except Worf and any version of Dax. So I got autographs of Odo, Quark, Bashir and Garek. Also David Warner, Jan Chappel (Blake's Seven), Frazer Hines and Louise Jameson. But why was I there. Because William B Davies (the CSM) was there. Got his autograph and photo taken with him. Also with Andy Robinson (Garek from DS9 and Scorpio from Dirty Harry). I also got the autographs of and got my picture taken with Peter 'Lord Tyrion' Dinklage and Lena 'Queen Cersei' Headley. Peter was a delight from joining his own queue of autographs 'I really want to get his autograph', being escorted round to the signing area and telling the people in the queue not to bother as 'I hear he is a bit of an arsehole' to pulling all sorts of poses with the individual photographs.
