Also saw their kid Apocalypse, although he cried like the dickens at one stage. He was pacified eventually. But his granny was not impressed with him. Played a few CDs and had Sam(antha)'s wonderful rice krispies and white chocolate cake. As their going out is bound by the whims of the little one we pledged to visit in the New Year when we saw them before Christmas. And have pledged several other visits in the year to game. Even though I was really off in my two pool matches on saturday -- I got my butt handed to me both times, against opponents that I should be able to do a cakewalk across -- just sitting on the bleachers was fun and educational. My three club mates all made it out of their pools, but no-one made the semis. That evening we had the sayonara-party in a place called Sultan Palace, with an odd kinda Turkic/Persian/Indian menu and a belly-dancer. She was pretty. ^^; Sunday was team match day. For some strange reason taisho Maja had put me in the heavy-hitting third position that's usually reserved for the ace of the team or the taisho, if they aren't one and the same. Anyway, that match was against Team Götha of Gothenburg. As Andreas and Maja both lost their bouts we were already eliminated when my turn came. I was up against a very pleasant gothenburger by the name of Fredrik. He handed my ass to me, too, but this time it was deservedly so, and I like to think I did my very best to give some resistance. ^^ All in all, I had fun, got some exercise, met old friends, and made new ones.
