SatinKitty
Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread My Mom wanted a wedge pillow with no arms, trays, massagers or anything, just a wedge pillow, and she looked everywhere and they had everything but. I found her one at the Vermont Country Store, a mail order company that specializes in old fashioned stuff and things from the past you can't buy anymore. If you don't see it in their catalog or website, decribe it to them and tell them the name if you remember it and they'll try to find or get it, eventually. They are at vermontcountrystore.com. I'd recommend this store to everyone. They have everything from food to apothocary.
L. Marcus
. . . Oh, dear Lord, I'm beat! Today's session was an uphills truggle -- I was still aching from tuesday's session, I forgot to take the Ibuprophen before we started, and my energies just went away, leaving a note cancelling the milk. But I feel soo-oo good right now.
Cancer
Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread STS-122 lifted off successfully a few minutes ago. This is why we care. Woulda been nice to have been there (we spent 2 weeks in FL in December to try), but you take what you can get.
Cancer
Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Friday my wife is taking me out to dinner to observe an odd sort of anniversary. As it'll be Leap Day, it'll be the 4th "anniversary" of when she asked me to marry her. (I had already bought the ring she'd said she wanted.) lemming
Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread That's cool Cancer. When my wife asked me to marry her, I did say yes, but she wasn't going to get the ring until the next evening when I had planned to ask. AliceTheOwl
Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Evidently, there's an old custom which says that Leap Day is when women should propose to their prospective husbands. Some versions of it have bad luck falling on the bachelor who refuses.
Cancer
Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I had the ring bought, as I said; I was just waiting to be assured that my job would continue (I was a postdoc on year-by-year funding at the time).
