Curufea
Re: Australia in the current CU I suddenly flashed on this idea of a koala with Dreamtime powers' date=' gained from an accident involving an aborigine shaman seeking revenge on the white men who have invaded his people's land. Possibly due to some superhero's interference, he's been shunted into the body of a koala, the ultimate disguise allowing him to work his mental powers on the unsuspecting populace. Oh yes, revenge will be his. Mwa hahahahaha![/quote'] The malevolent influence over the city is eventually traced back to the zoo - where the were-koala shaman releases his evil mutant marsupial hordes on the heroes? Michael Hopcroft
Re: Australia in the current CU Actually, my universe's sentient marsupial is called Combat Wombat. Sadly, he's too silly to include in my scenario... isn't he? When I was writing game reviews for the Scroll, there were certain types of players I called Combat Wombats. They're the sort who love to fight and love detailed rules for said fighting.

He's a small furry alien ninja with BFGs and a bad attitude. (He's probably also a mutant from the future.) Yes, he loves to fight.

Speaking of Flash Domingo... Everyone should go and check out Gary Chaloner's website (http://www.garychaloner.com/) - he's Flash's creator but does some other good stuff. CW is, of course, a Flash Damingo homage. There are a bunch of other marsupial superbeings on the International Superheroes site (the site linked to by Oz Mike above.) Lord Liaden
Re: Australia in the current CU Well, I've read assault and tribe's blog entries on their efforts to flesh out CU Australia, but how are the rest of you blokes progressing? Digital Hero articles are still the best place to start, of course, but now that Champions Of The North is out you should have a good template for what should go into an Oz sourcebook. Personally, I've hit a wall as far as writing a scenario goes. Basically, I can't come up with a plot that isn't totally routine. More generally though, there are interesting folks in Australian (and NZ) history who could be the basis for a "You Gotta Have Character" type article. Bushrangers like Ned Kelly, or, better yet, Captain Thunderbolt, would be obvious choices. Then there are explorers like Ludwig Leichhardt, inventors like Richard Pearse (a Kiwi), and a whole bunch of other interesting people. A PS: another interesting thing to read is Susano's account of his trip to Australia on Surbrook's Stuff. It contains a lot of useful "outside" impressions of Australia, which could be of value in Australian-oriented material.
