Not so. The Hebrew calendar is what is called a "lunisolar" calendar. The months are tied to the Moon, but the years are not. Extra months (and days) are inserted into the calendar according to a regular prescription to keep the High Holy Days (that is, the New Year) occurring at about the same time with respect to the seasons (that is, the tropical year).

 

The Islamic calendar is strictly lunar. There are a fixed number of months to a year, and the months are set by the phases of the Moon. So the beginning of the calendar year drifts 10 or 11 days per year with respect to the tropical year.
