Enforcer84
It's kind of weird, now that I suddenly figured out it's her I feel kind of foolish for taking so long.

Cancer
I haven't had any random re-encounters from my peripatetic early life, despite lots of potentials for that.
Vondy
I haven't had any random re-encounters from my priapic early life, either. I said what? tkdguy and L. Marcus
tkdguy
Every time I have a random re-encounter from my early life (peripatetic or otherwise), I soon remember why we lost touch in the first place. Burrito Boy
Vondy
They are remaking The Magnificent Seven. Cue the flame wars ! Wasn't the Magnificent Seven just a genre-bending remake of the Seven Samurai? A remake of a remake? I am shocked, shocked to find derivative material in Hollywood!
death tribble
Seven Samurai and The Magnificent Seven can be appreciated as different takes on the same story. Not everyone will have seen Seven Samurai but may be aware of it. However when something is really good you should not try and remake it cf The Posideon Adventure. This is the path to the dark side. They may even attempt to remake The Twilight Saga...... Burrito Boy

I usu. just skip remakes of films I like. They aren't worth grinding one's teeth over.
Vondy
I've found a remix of And Justice For All where they added the bass back in.... it's like... it's like a religious experience. Is there a link?
Old Man
Not that I get outstanding audio from this site, but: BoneDaddy

I didn't know the bass was taken out in the first place. I'll have to go do some listening.
Enforcer84
Why'd they remove the bass?
Old Man
Because Lars is either an idiot or a dick. But then again, the album seemed to do reasonably well, so perhaps I am the idiot. Problem with the remixes is that while now we can hear Jason, there's still no bass in anyone else's instruments, especially Lars' kick. death tribble
Then I think about the remake of King Kong, which was a fantastic film. There were two remakes. Are you thinking of the one with Jack Black or the one with Jeff Bridges ?
Vondy
There were two remakes. Are you thinking of the one with Jack Black or the one with Jeff Bridges ? The "My God, its as long as Ghandi!" remake made in 2005. L. Marcus
death tribble
Understandable. You get the stuff in the pit and a Andy Serkis doing Kong.
Logan D. Hurricanes
Next year's musicals at my school are "Mary Poppins" and "Aida". Interesting. (Why do we need two musicals? I have no idea.) Probably because that's where the money is. Musicals put asses in seats, as my old director used to say. They make the budget that allows a theater to do the other things that don't draw an audience but are well worth doing. Plus, they usually have the big cast that will get everyone on stage. Cancer
In other words, musicals are to theatre what pineapple is to pizza. There are large numbers of deluded tasteless fools who like it, so those with intelligence and discerning palates get trodden under the heels of the vacuous masses for the sake of filthy luchre.
