Cancer
Re: The Last Word On a final exam, I don't have to make the usual comments about where they went wrong in hopes they can learn from the mistakes. The course is over, and most people never pick up their final exams anyway.

L. Marcus
Re: The Last Word You know, there are people out there whose languages lack words for numbers entirely. Or, well, they use names of body parts instead. Imagine doing their accounting!
Cancer
Re: The Last Word so no comment that I can could to 30 on one hand. I'm disappointed in the math geeks of this thread. Why? You should be able to get to 512 on two hands. I think it ought to be possible to get to 81 on one hand, though I think you'll risk spraining a hand. Cancer
Re: The Last Word For much of my wife's family, it's not a safe assumption. Too many of them worked in the family's shingle mill and other aspects of the forest-products trade.

Cancer
Re: The Last Word At a shingle mill they turn logs into wooden shingles and similar products. Western red cedar is a decent shingle material, as long as you don't let it dry out and get real flammable. No hands missing AFAIK, but lots of missing fingers, usually only of one hand. Lots.
