Cancer
Re: The Last Word And there is no St. Geoffrey's day, as there is no saint by that name. It used to be a colloquialism for "never", usually in reference to when a personal debt would be paid.

L. Marcus
Re: The Last Word Elisabeth Day is November 19th, while Ann is celebrated on December 9th. Geoffrey would be Gottfrid, who has his day on December 15th. Bazza has no namesday.

Cancer
Re: The Last Word Hee hee. Feigenbaum's constant (or, more correctly, one of them). There's a book (now old, I think; late 1980s?) titled Chaos which, I think, can give you a decent, readable description of where it comes from. Bazza
Re: The Last Word Hee hee. Feigenbaum's constant (or' date=' more correctly, one of them). There's a book (now old, I think; late 1980s?) titled [i']Chaos[/i] which, I think, can give you a decent, readable description of where it comes from. I think I know the one you may mean, but I can't find the cover which I'd recognise it by. The book cover I'm thinking of was colourful with the words CHAOS (I think the text was white) emblazoned on it. edit: found it: http://www.amazon.com/CHAOS-James-Gleick/dp/0749386061/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1209367204&sr=8-3 Was this the book you were thinking of, Cancer? Cancer
Re: The Last Word And ... the 101 exams are all graded. High score: 98. Low score: 14. Mean and median are not really distinguishable, 56 and 55 respectively. Note that these scores are sums of the best 5 responses to 7 questions, so if they'd done right the question I had told them would be on the exam they'd've got a 20 at least. Cancer
Re: The Last Word "Mean" is the typical average you're thinking of. Median is another central-value figure. So 56 and 55 respectively for those.
