Cancer
Re: The Last Word Aren't those opaque so you can't see what's in it? And if that's true, then why bother with alphabet noodles at all?

Cancer
Re: The Last Word Survived another annual physical. Cholesterol still in check. Blood pressure at 120/80. Negative on the colon & prostate cancer things. Blood sugar's close to the safety limit, though.

Cancer
Re: The Last Word Well, I have to move stuff downstairs to make room for it, and make sure the parts are where I think they are. L. Marcus
Re: The Last Word I really like the bus service in this town, and of course there are almost as many roads for bikes as there are for cars. I don't go biking in this half of the year, but in summer there's nary a better way to get exercise.

Cancer
Re: The Last Word Some Aussies can relate to the US's addiction to automobiles, but it invariably takes Europeans a while to grasp it. Partly because the US is so large, and the scale of the countries is so different. Long-range personal mobility is simply essential in large parts of the US. Cancer
Re: The Last Word Hmm. My calculator has shift-button functions for conversion of C to F and back, cm to inches and back, liters to gallons and back, kg and lb and back. But not km to miles and back, and that's the one I want most often. Annoying.
