Bazza
Re: The Last Word totally totally awesome. I got see me some schoolies. I also went up Q1, the largest residential tower in the world (approx the same height as Eiffel Tower). Went to the Crystal Castle (near Mullumbimby) and saw some huge crystals, and expensive ones too. One crystal ball was priced at $12,900 AUD. Also went to Byron Bay for a bit. Then I went to Sydney for days upon days of shopping within the CBD. Bought lots of books (about 12 ) and did some chrissy shopping too. All up I had a really awesomest time. less than 4 weeks to go till my next holidays. Weeeeee. Photos of my trip here

Cancer
Re: The Last Word I am reminded of an apocryphal story from my undergrad days: One day the professor came out from behind the lectern, sat on a desk, and said, "OK, here's the deal. You guys don't like taking exams. I don't like grading them. But the administration says I have to give grades. So here's what I'm gonna do. "I'm going to give blanket C's. If you don't like that, come to my office the last week of class, and we'll cut cards. You win, you get an A. I win, you get an F. My deck." Cancer
Re: The Last Word The story doesn't say. I have the impression that it was a humanities course, but that may have rubbed off from some other apocryphal story that was explicitly from the Philosophy Dept. Cancer
Re: The Last Word Yeah, I've done that. For a while I kept one particularly bad book (I picked up for nothing somewhere) so I could truthfully use the line "My bookshelf features everything from Plato to porno." I still have the Plato. lemming
Re: The Last Word So my wife did read it. She found it caters to 13 year girls, but didn't see why it would have that big of a following.
