Cancer Posted March 6, 2008 Report Share Posted March 6, 2008 Re: The Last Word Monthly pay is the standard among large employers in the US (all the government entities and large corporations that I know pay monthly) but other entities are free to set their schedules as they see fit. Most people aren't willing to go any longer than a month between paychecks. Since issuing paychecks and making sure the numbers are right is quite a lot of overhead, most place prefer they have to do it as few times as they can get away with.
