Bazza
Re: The Last Word The thing is, I could be like him and write long winded essays if I managed to put my thoughts on paper. I rarely do but it doesn't stop me musing about topics. And then invariably I'll have to source my essays/musings so people could see I'm not making this stuff up. So I empathise with him. edit: see a recent musing for an example...if you dare.

Bazza
Re: The Last Word Remember looking at the haunted race Bowed down before the storm? Remember searching for a familiar face With no-one there to mourn? Love those spoken lyrics. Gloom was ne'er so beautiful.

AliceTheOwl
Re: The Last Word Australians and those without TVs don't care. One would think. Yet I care. Okay, I have a TV, but no way of receiving TV signals, so I think I count. I watch shows on DVD, though, and have found a source for watching Heroes live, while food is served to me and I'm in a comfy, cushy chair. It's wonderful. ^ v ^
Cancer
Re: The Last Word Nothing like a bit of ABBA to get you all revved up. Pop music' date=' whoo.[/quote'] I look for philosophic and/or existential input in some peculiar places, but ABBA lyrics are absolutely, positively, NOT among them. AliceTheOwl
Re: The Last Word Meh. I consider them a pretty good example of one way my tastes have evolved. I COULD listen to one of their songs again, but why, when there's so much better music out there?

Cancer
Re: The Last Word I've found over time that the only thing that makes me eventually go "meh" on music I once liked is if it's overplayed so that I hear it too much. Unfortunately, most Led Zepplin is now "meh" to me.
