OddHat
Re: The cranky thread Best of luck' date=' Oddhat! Which exercises are you doing, if I may ask?[/quote'] Just standard weight training. The current bruising is coming from minor bar control problems when performing cleans; as I don't have bumper plates or floor pads, I can't just drop the bar, and instead have to guide it down. Just a few years ago, this was not a problem. Other things are leaving bruises that wouldn't have a few years ago as well (blocking kicks when sparring, getting allergy shots). It may be that I am now officially getting old.

tkdguy
Re: The cranky thread Since I considered myself "officially getting old" a long time ago, I can understand that. I still have a bruise the size of a quarter from sparring over a week ago.
Cancer
Re: The cranky thread New walking shoes have left me with a quarter-sized raw spot of broken layered blisters on my left achilles tendon. Grr. I suppose I get what I pay for with $14.99 Costco shoes, though.

No, I thought you were telling us something. Good to know it is non HERO related. I'll go back to watching "Two and a Half Men" on TV. I guess one of us will loose for the 3rd and 4th place in the World Cup. Good luck.
SatinKitty
Re: The cranky thread I love my Mother in Law very much, but tonight I nearly strangled her. Having my 8 year old Nephew racing around my apartment and getting the kittens all wound up didn't help either. OddHat has had an even longer day with them. He is just now eating dinner at 10:15 pm. Now don't get me wrong, I love them all very much, but I just can't deal with kids running around for any length of time. And screaming babies ? Fuggetaboudit !!!! No, Motherhood is not for Everyone. death tribble
Re: The cranky thread It looks like being one of those weeks. Three days in a row, the Victoria Line has not been working properly. The servers at work are having to be shut off at 6:00 pm which means I have to stay to bring them down. And today one of the servers we need to work on a day to day basis plays silly buggers with the keyboard. Ho hum.

Cancer
Re: The cranky thread My vision is blurry at this point. Can't drive or read a book. Heh. I know waaaaaayyyy too many people who never let the second of those bother them at all, and who never let "blurry" interfere with operating a motor vehicle. AliceTheOwl
Re: The cranky thread Sign up at the entryway to my office: "I AM CURRENTLY ON BREAK -- PLEASE COME BACK LATER". I'm sitting eating my dinner in front of my computer and reading the news. Actually get a co-worker coming into my office - "Hey, can I ask you a question?" In fact, the ONLY time I've gotten any questions ALL DAY is when that sign has been up. I get 30 minutes of paid time, and an unpaid lunch. Guess how much of my unpaid lunchtime went to answering a dumb question? I should totally have a friend call and insist on talking to them while they're at lunch with a stupid question. EDIT: THREE people had to come bug me! THREE! Why do I even HAVE the sign? Oh, right. My boss wanted to make sure I was taking regular breaks. The band is Hoodoo Gurus.
