Old Man
Re: The cranky thread I despair for our society. I really do. Xavier Onassiss
Re: The cranky thread No fence' date=' or did the cows just decide they were going to get through it?[/quote'] There's a fence now, installed a couple of days ago. The cows can't get to the well, but neither can my truck, so I'm not sure how I'm going to run tests on that well next month....

Pariah
Re: The cranky thread If our landlady's dog starts barking outside our bedroom window while I'm trying to get Baby Pariah to sleep again, I'm gonna stuff her in a box and Fed-Ex her to Singapore. CrosshairCollie
Re: The cranky thread Dear Guy Behind Me At The Traffic Signal ... I understand getting impatient at a red light. I do. However, I have actually been here longer than you, and would appreciate it if you would give my foot time to go from the brake to the accelerator before honking your horn and raising middle fingers at me. My standard response to these is to "panic", mash the brake, and look around. Ideally I'll do this long enough for the light to change or for cross traffic to appear (if it's a stop sign or driveway pullout).

CrosshairCollie
Re: The cranky thread My wife couldn't sleep the other night. I asked her why she didn't take one of those sleeping pills she has, or some Tylenol PM. She said she didn't think about it until it was too late. Maybe it's just me, but she didn't have to be at work until after 3pm. By the time 6am rolls around, you should realize you're going to have problems. *grumble*
Xavier Onassiss
Re: The cranky thread I had a long workday after a sleepless night on Wednesday. No fun at all. I did the same thing today, and for the first time all week, I was migraine-free all day. I know exactly what's going to happen next -- as soon as I catch up on my sleep, that f*ck*ng migraine is gonna come Right. F*ck*ng. Back. I'd rather just stay sleep-deprived. Old Man
Re: The cranky thread I used to really love fireworks. At my apogee I was launching 8" shells from a sandbag-supported tube in the middle of the road for New Year's 1999/2000. Then I had a kid who was a light sleeper. Who developed asthma. Now I'm less of a fan. Still I'd be okay with them if people would only use them on the days they're allowed to.
