Sociotard
Re: Character Posting Game: Restart I forgot about the Automaton rules. Actually anything would do I would just like a non-piloted construct of some sort to compare to my ideas of a Xorn Warstrider. Hawksmoor I have no Idea what a 'Xorn Warstrider' is. Sounds like Terran Empire? I just thought this up. Archaeologists in northern India have uncovered long snake-like mecha. Until the alien inscriptions are deciphered, they are being called "Naga Sahana", sanskrit for 'Mighty Snakes'. The controls are extremely sensitive, as the things appear to have been intended for beings with reflexes far more honed than our own. Any human attempting to pilot one is advised to install a governor on the controls. Agent X
Re: Character Posting Game: Restart That's a toughie. If we went with a concept of, say, someone with a ludicrous number of multiforms that allow him to "become" one ancestor at a time along with maintaining his own skills - we could come up with some ancestors and design them. Could be sort of a Hero (or Villain) of a Thousand Faces type theme: a character far too big in scope for only the mentally insane to build on their own. What do you think Sociotard? Fireg0lem
Re: Character Posting Game: Restart If someone's looking for inspiration on that last one, I have an idea...but not enough time to properly flesh it out. Sociotard
Re: Character Posting Game: Restart What was I thinking? Well, I kept it as vague as I could to give everyone their freedom, but if you want specifics . . . I originally thought of a guy with lots of skills with an activation roll (he has to sort though a lot of memories), throw in some martial arts, mental shape shift, Presentience (sees their memories) and variable psych limitations (one day he has one ancestors cleptomania, the next hydrophobia, or hatred of frenchies, etc). He occasionally slips and starts speaking ancient tongues. Once in a great while, he may forget who he is and believe he is a viking marauder or some such thing (berzerk). He might be able to do this to other people. I envisioned him taking their pulse (the blood-ancestory mythography) and doing a presentience or something. Which is why he has a dog that has a similar schtick (he's unlocked all the dogs memories, so there's someone in the world who can empathise with him). This is a character I've mused about, and never felt like stating out.

When a group of henchmen tried to heist the artifact in broad daylight. With his class endangered Johnny wondered what his Ancestor Jake “The Hammer†Smith, a famous English warrior from they early 1400’s would do. Next thing every one knew the mild manor History Teacher was replaced with a rough English Warrior with a really big hammer and a bad temper. Johnny has since learned that if he knows the name of one of his ancestors he can call that ancestor into being. Multiform is too much for this one, go simpler. Hawksmoor A VPP's just one route for this one, Personally I would've used a Naked advantage of Usable By Others simultaneous, with the approriate Transdim tacked on, and then added Usable As Attack to that as if it was it's own power, also with the appropriate Transdim. And have that followed up by a Transdimed MindScan to go look for your ancestors. But then that's just me

While he was attending military school, Geoffrey Tucker watched his parents die. That's actually not surprising, because the whole nation watched it happen on broadcast television. His father, a renouned diplomat, had been taken hostage, and murdered by an extremist group in Southern Europe. Geoffrey was, understandably, traumatized. He began walking around campus holding a photograph of his parents, a habit that grew into a psychological dependence. He began training in a variety of military arts, preparing for the day he would make the terrorists of the world pay for what they did to his family and to his country. When he was 25, he stole a top secret military chopper, and disapeared. He began to attack known terrorist bases, using his prodigious talent to deadly effect. He also turned into something of a pirate. When he attacked a drug cartel or killed an arms smuggler, he used the 'spoils of war' to further his cause, including a dose of experimental super-soldier serum. Over the years, other men, mostly former special ops members who felt the government lacked the spine to do what was necessary, began to join him, greatly aiding his quest for justice. He was taking part in their first raid against German airfields. The raid was disaster with David and a large number of his comrades failing to make the rendezvous but things where even worse for David caught in a sand storm his team had become separated David found him self wandering in the desert alone dehydrated and hopelessly lost he found him self in a building seemingly uncovered by the sandstorm that had separated him form his teammates taking cover from the rash desert winds he stumbled inside and discovered a mysterious temple he stumbled with exhaustion reaching out for the alter as he collapsed his hands laying across cool metal as he lost consciousness he awoke feeling strangely refreshed his hands still wrapped around the metal and yet it was still cool to the touch. He picked up the golden objects that decorated the alter. Two magnificent armbands and an amulet ornately embossed with the head of a lion surrounded with a sun like mane. Thinking they would make good barter should he be captured or find native tribes men to assist him. David donned the jewelry and feeling newly refreshed strode from temple into the twilight desert. It took him two weeks to walk back to base across the desert as he walked he discovered he was changing his senses seemed sharper his endurance increased and he found him self-able to find water as if by a sixth sense. When he returned to the SAS base where he had been given up for dead His hair had grown into a magnificent mane now golden blond and he had grown an impressive beard to match. He arrived just in time the units commander David Sterling the was looking for some one to lead a special deep insertion raid against German forces and with his experience of desert survival Llewellyn would be perfect. David happily volunteered hand picking a team and leading them out deep into the desert to striek at the german supply chain. It was on this first raid when discovered by a nazi patrol David discovered the other adaptabilities that the mystic jewelry bestowed superior strengths and speed and skin like iron. His units raid succeeded beyond all hopes and the SAS commander arranged for them to stay deep behind enemy lines working on there own. And that was how David Llewellyn became the Desert lion scourge of Rommel and the Afrika Korps. Ably assisted by the 4-man SAS squad known as the Pride. Notes. I think he could do with a few more points for a VPP of commando weapons and tools and he also needs german and arabic language and maybe a bit more martial arts.
