We were into stealth. We had some swivel-nozzle guns that were very concealable, could shoot in unexpected directions, and had pretty good range for the day. Since the buses we rode had openable windows, we did lots of drive-by attacks ... with squirt guns.

My dad mentioned that back in the days before catalytic converters in cars, you could wire a spark plug to the end of your car's exhaust pipe (with an on-off switch on the dashboard). There was enough hydrocarbon in the emissions that you could ignite the stuff. The fuel content was too low for it to show up, really, in daylight, but it apparently could be quite unnervingly spectacular at night to light up a jet of flame (or two of them, if your car had dual exhaust) in front of someone.

I got a 1956 dime today in change. 2.2 grams of 90% silver at todays spot silver price of $46.61 per troy ounce is just short of three bucks, if I got enough of them to cash in that way. Oh well.
