Cancer
Not as a matter of common occurrence, no. When Mt St Helens blew up, Seattle did get a bit of ash dump (nowhere near as much as places in Eastern WA), and if Mt Rainier goes, the south end of town will get hit with a small portion of the lahar flow (we're safe; I live on the north edge of town on a hilltop). So it has happened, but it's remarkable when it does.
L. Marcus
Yeah, at least you don't get vog. I hazard that this stands for "voracious man-eating frog."
Cancer
Different from that. About as interesting, but different.
Old Man
I hazard that this stands for "voracious man-eating frog." That would be better than what we actually get. I could do something about a man-eating frog. (Or more accurately, I could call or pay someone to do something about the man-eating frog for me.) Cancer
While true, that doesn't necessarily invalidate my complaint. Pariah
L. Marcus
It was a complaint? To me, it read more like a statement.

Cancer
How very interesting. I have never before received a response to one of my "position paper" assignments that actively advocates forming a conspiracy in the hypothetical event that is the prompt in the paper. Cancer
Five days off, sort of, then one week of classes, then finals. And my finals are early in Finals Week instead of at the end, which is a real relief. Boatloads of grading to do, of course, but we are at the pause before the storm.
