Old Man
Not to my knowledge, but I don't like the scratchy feeling in the back of my throat.
Cancer
I have that right now, a few thousand km away.
Old Man
It may not be the vog that is causing yours.
Cancer
I concur. Some unpleasant biological virus is making its presence felt in multiple ways. Besides, no fog here.
L. Marcus
That must be rare.
Cancer
Depends on season. When a cold air mass moves in it's all but humidity-free, so initially there's no fog. As it warms and humidity accumulates, then overnight radiative cooling will cause fog after a couple of days. This will burn off most but not all days, and re-form at night. Eventually another airmass moves in; this is more commonly a maritime system than another continental one, and those are wet rainy systems. Old Man
I concur. Some unpleasant biological virus is making its presence felt in multiple ways. Besides, no fog here. A fog or vog composed of biological viruses would indeed be unpleasant.
L. Marcus
Grey Goo nanomachines would be worse.
Old Man
But only briefly.
Cancer
See, that's why I think the Terminator franchise is void. Skynet comes awake, researches nanobots for a while, and then wham, conquest complete. No need for the "F--- you a------" pull-down menu. Cancer
Oh, and glancing up at the Moon just now, it appears I was premature in declaring there was no fog here.
L. Marcus
Was it all up there?
Cancer
Well, the fog came in sometime between 5:47 PM and 9:41 PM local time.
L. Marcus
...Taking reality with it!
Cancer
With fatigue, cold medicines, and the illness, my grip on reality during that interval was tenuous. Sorry, everyone.
Old Man
What are you apologizing for? I have more than enough reality already; I don't need more of it here.
L. Marcus
Reality is a fuzzy concept.
Cancer
Yeah, but not cute fuzzy like a kitten. More like scary fuzzy like a GREAT BIG BUS-SIZE SPIDER WITH POISON FANGS LONGER THAN YOUR ARM AND HAIRS THAT INFECT YOU WITH ZOMBIE DISEASE AND IT'LL JUMP OUT AT YOU FROM THE SEWERS AND SUCK YOUR BONES DRY OF MARROW AND ... guess I'll go home and go to bed. Old Man
No, Lolth. Or Death Tribble. Come to think of it, has anyone seen Lolth and Death Tribble together at the same time?
Bazza
Yes. Last years Christmas party. Lolth went as Jabba the Hutt with Death Tribble going as Princess Leia in her gold bikini. Classic. Pariah

Bazza
Baz, why do you say this when you know that he will kill you for it? DT would have to leave the UK first. This assumes DT reads this thread.
