In college nobody GAF. Professors are absolutely not responsible for students and they are free to attend or fail at their discretion. Don't disrupt classes and other academic activities, and it's not necessarily that no one cares, but it is not within the duty set for people to enforce compliance with expected behavioral norms. Some people may care, and that may impact you when you go looking for letters of recommendation etc., but no one is gonna yell at for riding a skateboard on the sidewalk.
