Cancer
Bad attempts at baking give products resembling structural brick.

Pariah
The first time I tried to bake bread, I added water that was too hot and killed the yeast. The resulting loaf (charitably speaking) was very high density.
Cancer
Among the first times I tried making cookies, I forgot the flour. Rather suboptimal results.

Cancer
Many years ago, and no one alive but me still remembers that incident ... but that's all that's needed.

Cancer
Hmm. It didn't occur to me to try using them as munitions. To prove that she's my daughter, a couple weeks back the girl misread my wife's shortbread recipe as saying bake at 530 F instead of 330 F. The jays are still pecking away at that piece of char out in the yard. L. Marcus
Pariah
You have an oven that goes up to 530F? Does that mean you have a kitchen?
Cancer
Not completely, though I think we're down to punch list.

Cancer
As Bruce Banner might say, I'm always working on the punch list.

Cancer
As strange and implausible as it may seem for someone who came of age in the mid-1970s, I've never indulged in that.

L. Marcus
Yah, but if we can keep it below 25 C, that'd be great.
Cancer
Hm, I'm OK up to 30 C, but I know others who aren't.
L. Marcus
We had a couple of days with 30+ C last summer. I tried to spend them as cool as possible, preferably in bed, spreadeagled so as to touch myself as little as possible.
Pariah
"A couple of days with 30+ C"? We get that most days between mid-June and early September here. Lightweight. (Of course, I do live in the barren desert, so....)
L. Marcus
You should come try the weather when there is a - in front of the numbers! Even I had to wear long-johns.
