Cancer
Next week is a probably one-time event we are calling BobCon. A friend who doesn't live that close has finally got so ill that he can't make it to Seattle for the cons here any more. So we are going to where he is to have a micro-con where he can make it. I won't be running, but I will be one of the congoers.
L. Marcus
... So you'll be a conman.
Cancer
More of an accomplice rather than the actual runner of the con. I won't be GMing anything.
L. Marcus
Ah, to be a player again. Or screw that -- I'd love to GM, too! It's been too long.
Pariah
Ah, to be a player again. Or screw that -- I'd love to GM, too! It's been too long. Agreed. My old gaming group is 65 km away now.
L. Marcus
That's pretty near.
Pariah
It's not the distance, it's the time. Over an hour each way to get there. That was fine when I didn't have two young kids to help put to bed....
L. Marcus
So, chloroform is not an option?
Cancer
Probably not. Of course, with our kids, they fell asleep in the car almost immediately, so a 65 km drive might actually be functional in certain circumstances.
Pariah
So, chloroform is not an option? My department chair looks at me funny if I order chloroform.
L. Marcus
Chair is probably curious.

Old Man
My department chair looks at me funny if I order chloroform. Do you put the rohypnol on the same purchase order?
L. Marcus
That's a bit of a faux pas.
Cancer
How about polonium-210?
Old Man
Note to self: Don't date Cancer. Bazza
L. Marcus
Doesn't have a hypnotic effect, surely.
Old Man
....Nope.
L. Marcus
Maybe Cancer has hypnotic effect?
Cancer
If you said "subliminal" rather than "hypnotic", you could be right. I was told more than once I had such a thing, with explicit mention that the effect on women was repulsive.
L. Marcus
... A bit harsh.
Old Man
Fortunately, I am not a woman! So Cancer is free to work his subliminal charms in seducing me!
