lemming
Lacuna Expanse. http://www.lacunaexpanse.com I wound up programming for it, though there's much to be done. Good time waster, and the population on the chat system is generally friendly.
L. Marcus
I only associate lacuna with ischemic infarctions ...

L. Marcus
Lacunar infarctions occur in the mainframe.
Cancer
Which is why mainframes are all gone now, and everything is on distributed servers and peripheral processors.

Cancer
My students feel the same way. But the final exam is a week from Friday, and terror alleviates boredom quite effectively.
Pariah
For my students, I try to keep the terror-to-boredom ratio strongly unbalanced on the side of terror. Cancer
Cancer
Unfortunately, with great amounts of terror come great amounts of papers to grade. I have to ration my terror carefully. Pariah
Old Man
Just assign ten times as much homework and explain that you'll only grade 5% of it, determined at random.
Old Man
not even superdraft? Especially not superdraft.

L. Marcus
... I told you once.
Old Man
Superdrafts would probably be fine, but every time we have one I find myself going down rabbit holes reading up on this or that character. Suddenly an hour and a half has gone by and I've read up on Brother Voodoo, Doctor Strange, casting choices for Doctor Strange, and every variation of the Avengers when I was supposed to be doing a quick check on Iron Fist's secret ID. Cancer
That sort of thing is why I bailed out of the draft last summer ... I was having fun doing it, but it was consuming enormous amounts of time, and even in the summer, I didn't have that much free time. I was going to have fun drafting with "The Downwinders": the Columbia Plateau, Wonder Wart-Hog, The Tick, Goofy/Super Goof, Boris and Natasha and Fearless Leader, Mr. Burns, Hank the Hallucination, and the homebrew Orah the Red Ape. I had another hero and an option yet to pick when I gave it up, and I had a big piece of fiction two-thirds written (involving Goofy getting robbed by Boris et al.). But I hadn't decided how to get to the preferred resolution, and who those last two characters were going to be.

Cancer
But the fiction is the best part. Well, except for the very first one that Solomon started, where it got me thinking about the kid tv I watched nearly 50 years ago now.
