Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER I assume that's a comment on me being too lazy to get sake to go with the sushi last gaming-night dinner. It was more a timing issue than laziness, but I'll accept the "slacker" label.

AliceTheOwl
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Ah. That'll do it. In other news, I'm going to be starting up my very own Fantasy Hero game. I'm starting a world from scratch, to keep from messing up anything that's come before, and encouraging player contributions. Should be interesting. ^ v ^

AliceTheOwl
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER There are further details in the Fantasy Hero section. I can't go posting spoilers, though, because both Josh and Mandy hang out here, and these spoilers are too good to give away.

Cancer
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER "Slacker" seems to be a generational thing, and being too old for that, I have no hope of grokking the concept.
AliceTheOwl
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER One who slacks off. Oh, and here. I'm going to have Josh post what he's written (so he gets credit), and it'll be expanding as I or the players expand it. So far, I have yet to name the starting town. *sigh*

RPMiller
Re: Longest Running Thread EVER In an attempt to get us ramped up for the coming holiday... MAYONNAISE Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York. This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico. But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost. The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day. The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course, as "Sinko de Mayo." Savinien

Trivia: The Titanic was a modern vessel for its time, and was one of the few ships in the world to carry the new-fangled wireless equipment. When it struck the iceberg it became the first ship in the world to send out the universal call for help that we know so well today, "Mayo-day!"
