gorman
I seem to remember, from a long time ago, to have read somewhere a detailed analysis about how many points would be needed to create the starting point of Hero's character creation (movement, 10 in all primary, can see, can hear, can manipulate, and so on and so forth). Am I dreaming this or it did get published somewhere?
nblade
I don't think I ever heard of that. I'm sure someone worked it up. Of course I'm guessing the assumption was that everything started out as zero. It would be pretty easy to work up from there. As a rought guess I'm thinking somewhere around the 140pt mark. JmOz
Actualy a little more, a rarely remembered option is to sell back everyman skills at 1 point each
Zaratustra
5th states the normal senses cost 25+20+5+5=55 points. Actually, they cost a bit more if you build them from scratch, but we'll just pretend now. Also, you're assuming STR 0, etc. are the bottom line; I believe they go to -30 or below. Originally posted by JmOz Actualy a little more, a rarely remembered option is to sell back everyman skills at 1 point each I don't remember that option. Is that a house rule, or is it in FREd? Originally posted by Zaratustra Actually, [normal senses] cost a bit more if you build them from scratch, but we'll just pretend now. Actually, you're supposed to use the given 55 point cost, at least according to Steve's sidebar.

Look under Everyman Skills (FRED page 29) second paragraph, last sentence.

There is an entire chapter named 'Toolkitting' that says I am not supposed to do anything.
Arkham
Ahh, but how about the point cost of a normal person's stuff? How many points would it be for every flashlight, lightbulb, television and phone in an average house? How about an average commuter car, there is at least another few points. And a bookshelf! It is, after all, just a computer without programs, and with the 'extra time' limitation... And if we're selling back stats, you _know_ reproductive organs are worth some points as a very limited Summon with Extra Time and IAF ( ask a guy raised with a sister ( Unless you don't wear pants, then it is OAF ) )... I need more coffee, this is too silly.
