Stanley Teriaca
Deathorb. A former Argent scientist who got caught in an accident when the experimental plasma energy generator power engine he was experimenting on exploded and flooded his body and his experimental plasma shielding suit with plasma energy. His body is actually composed now of 'solid plasma' which mimics his former physical body. In this form he can negate gravity for himself and shoot orbs of hot plasma. He doesn't need to eat or sleep or breathe anymore (He 'eats' by absorbing impurities in the air like dust and such, has no physical breathing system to choak, and no physical body which needs sleep). His body is rather resistant to physical and energy damage. And also, he can change himself into his "Deathorb" form, a human size ball of plasma which is no longer solid. This form appears as, like I said, a human size orb of energy with a face. He can no longer shoot energy orbs in this form, but can slip pass solid objects. But, more importantly he is now VERY DANGEROUS TO TOUCH. He is constantly surrounded by an 'damage field' (Area Of Effect - Surface - Blast) in this form. Give me your opinions and suggestions for this Beenline replacement. What would you add? What would you subtract? Tom Cowan
Q: Would damage shield and tunneling work? Or even just 'damage field'? This could save a lot of points. Edited July 22 by Tom Cowan

This could save a lot of points. Yes. Both would work. But beyond special effects, what prevents him from shooting energy balls in this form? SHOULD he be prevented from shooting energy balls in this form? Also, how much reach can a human size ball of plasma have? Sure, he has no arms and feet in this form, but that doesn't mean he can't say stick out a plasma psudopod from his body to touch someone. Tom Cowan
Multpower with blasts and other human form stuff and lock out for 'BURN! IT! ALL!!!!' Blast 18d6, Area Of Effect (2m Radius; +1/4), Persistent (+1/4), Personal Immunity (+1/4), Constant (+1/2), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (247 Active Points); No Range (-1/2) or what ever or multform with whatever you pick for 'BURN! IT! ALL!!!!' Oh! I like it. Get him angry enough and he'll EXPLODE. But how do you remove plasma? To get rid of fire you plunge into either water or a vacuum area (no oxygen). To get rid of acid, you use alkaline (and to get rid of alkaline you use acid). What removes burning plasma energy? Sorry...was thinking of Uncontrolled as part of that, where you MUST define a way to end the damage. With Constant and 0 END you SHOULD define a way to end damage, BUT it ends if they take the total of all the dice in damage anyways, or defined as going out at the user's wish or a period of time passes. Tom Cowan
hmm, for other powers... VPP: tech toys. You know, to keep people on their toes. Sonic cannons and nano-goo sticky entangle. thou keep them low point cost and/or focus, Requires a roll (maybe jammed), charges (maybe still using end even with charges)

He gets his toys based on the senerio, which outweighs the benefits of a VPP. Of course if you don't think so, remember you can always rewrite villains to your taste. Stanley Teriaca
How much would a limitation "Only When Damage Shield Is Active" on Tunneling?
Steve
Totally off topic, but I’m wondering if I have a touch of dyslexia or something. I saw Deathrob instead of Deathorb in the title when I first looked at it.

Stanley Teriaca
Is tunneling needed if it has a body causing damage shield and flight?
Tom Cowan
Well, Deathorb could use the damage shield to cut though rock, and like entangle in 5th ed if you can use 1/2 str it takes no action to do and you can keep moving. I'd be willing to bet even that piece of software could do an adequate job with a less complicated game engine. Tiny d6 Supers or Stalwart, for ex. Maybe even Villains & Vigilantes - if nothing else it can probably calculate carrying capacity faster than I can with my phone. Might be amusing to see what it would cough up for a whole group of (say) four PCs for Masks, where most of your decisions are filling in Mad Libs questions about your connections to and past with the other PCs. That psych limitation is kind of hilarious. I have this mental image of Deathorb with his nose pressed against a store window, staring for hours at a sales display of plasma lamps. Stanley Teriaca
Here is the background Copilot worked on. Tell me what you think. Deathorb’s Background Origin: Dr. Orion Blackwood was a brilliant but morally ambiguous scientist working for ARGENT, a notorious organization known for its advanced technology and unethical experiments. Driven by a desire for power and recognition, Dr. Blackwood conducted a series of dangerous experiments to harness limitless energy. One fateful night, an experiment went catastrophically wrong, causing a massive explosion that transformed him into a being of pure energy. Instead of perishing, he became Deathorb, gaining incredible powers but losing his physical form. Transformation: Now known as Deathorb, he can shift between his humanoid form and an energy ball form. In his humanoid form, he retains some semblance of his former self, though his appearance is now ethereal and glowing. His energy ball form allows him to unleash devastating attacks and move at incredible speeds. Motivation: Deathorb’s primary goal is to amass power and control, using his abilities to further ARGENT’s sinister objectives. He seeks to dominate and manipulate others, driven by a desire for revenge against those who doubted him and a hunger for ultimate power. His transformation has only intensified his ambition and ruthlessness. Allies and Enemies: Allies: Deathorb is closely allied with ARGENT, using their resources and technology to enhance his powers and further his goals. He also has a network of loyal henchmen and other supervillains who share his vision of domination. Enemies: His primary adversaries are superheroes and organizations that stand in the way of ARGENT’s plans. This includes various superhero teams and individual heroes who have thwarted his schemes in the past. Personality: Deathorb is cunning, ruthless, and highly intelligent. He is a master manipulator, using his scientific knowledge and newfound powers to outsmart and overpower his enemies. His transformation has made him even more isolated and driven, with little regard for human life or morality. He is determined to achieve his goals at any cost, viewing himself as a superior being destined to rule.
