The Washington Post is covering the Nanowrimo's stance on using Ai for the yearly challenge. The problem is the organization blew up their community and the challenge will be at other places, and a lot of people don't like AI use when they have been writing books by hand forever.

Nope, going to live forever. So far, so good. This is my end, the endless understanding of reality, and my relationship with it. Ps: you need to get of the limited worldview & get on the unlimited worldview as the limited worldview has only one definitive end. The unlimited worldview has endless possibilities & potentials.

Oh no, who could have predicted this aside from the geologists we totally ignored when we built this neighborhood?

My grandfather was a civil engineer in the Philippines. He refused to allow an apartment building to be built on "prime property" because it was unsafe. The apartment only went up after he retired. Sure enough, it came crashing down after the first earthquake struck. Almost everyone there died. My dad told me it was the only time he ever saw my grandfather so angry that he was actually crying.

Well, hopefully your grandfather doesn't read the news, because this is going to keep happening.  U.S. states appear to be helpless to stop people from building homes in floodplains, on coasts, in fire country, and on unstable hillsides.  We're dealing with it here as rich a------s keep putting up illegal seawalls or other reinforcements to protect their multi-multimillion dollar beachfront investment properties (and thereby destroy adjacent beaches and properties).  It's infuriating.  Extreme weather doesn't care about your property rights.
